Ingredients

1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup cornstarch

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

¾ cup water

Vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Sauce:

¼ cup honey

2 tbsp Sriracha (more or less to taste)

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Cauliflower: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well-coated.

Make the Batter: Gradually add water to the dry mix, stirring until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the cauliflower. Adjust with more water or flour as needed for the right consistency.

Heat the Oil: In a deep saucepan or frying pan, heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Test if the oil is ready by dropping a small amount of batter into it—if it bubbles and sizzles, it’s ready.

Fry the Cauliflower: Carefully add the battered cauliflower florets to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir the mixture continuously until it’s heated through and slightly bubbling. Remove from heat once combined.

Toss the Cauliflower: In a large mixing bowl, add the fried cauliflower and pour the sticky sauce over it. Gently toss until all the florets are well-coated in the sauce.

Garnish and Serve: Transfer the sticky Sriracha honey cauliflower to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added flavor and garnish. Serve hot and enjoy!
