Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Add the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. If you like a little heat, add the crushed red pepper flakes.

Mix everything together using your hands or a fork until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. You should have around 20-24 meatballs.

Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart to allow for even cooking.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

While the meatballs are baking, heat the BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm. You can add a splash of water if it's too thick.

Once the meatballs are done baking, remove them from the oven and carefully transfer them to the pot with the warm BBQ sauce. Gently toss the meatballs until they are fully coated in the sauce.

Serve the BBQ meatballs immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired. They are perfect as an appetizer, or you can serve them over rice, in a sandwich, or alongside some coleslaw.
