Ingredients

1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

6 strips of bacon, diced

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (optional for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, diced bacon, olive oil, maple syrup, garlic powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated with the mixture.

Spread and Roast: Pour the Brussels sprouts and bacon mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly in a single layer. This helps them roast evenly and achieve a crispy texture.

Roast in the Oven: Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through. The Brussels sprouts should be tender and have caramelized edges, while the bacon should be crispy.

Add Balsamic (Optional): If using, drizzle the roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic vinegar right before serving for an added layer of flavor.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before transferring to a serving dish. Enjoy your Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts warm!
