Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of 1 lime (plus extra wedges for serving)

8 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup red cabbage, shredded

1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 avocado, sliced

1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Tortillas: In a separate skillet, warm the tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable. You can wrap them in a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm while cooking the rest.

Assemble the Tacos: Lay two to three shrimp on each tortilla. Top with shredded red cabbage, fresh cilantro, and avocado slices.

Add Sauce and Serve: Drizzle with sour cream or Greek yogurt, and, if desired, add a few drops of hot sauce for a kick. Serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the top.
