Ingredients

1 (14.75 oz) can of salmon, drained and flaked

1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (red or green)

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for frying)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and parsley (if using). Mix until well combined but be careful not to overwork the salmon.

Shape the Patties: With clean hands, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter, depending on your preference.

Chill (Optional): For best results, chill the formed patties in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape while cooking.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.

Cook the Patties: Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding). Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Drain Excess Oil: Once cooked, transfer the patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Serve: Serve your salmon patties warm with lemon wedges on the side for drizzling. They pair well with a fresh salad or a creamy dipping sauce.
